Morning Year 2
- Maths – Today, you are going to begin with a little maths. Can you remember how to read time to a half hour?
Go through the slides again to remind yourselves.
Complete the following activity.
You are also going to finish your work on the BFG today.
2. PHSE – The BFG dreams of having an ‘elefunt’ to ride through green forests on. What are your hopes and dreams for Year 3?
I would like you to choose 5 things you would like to achieve or want to happen in Year 3 and write sentences about these.
3.Writing – Write a recipe for a new dream. What ‘ingredients’ will you need? Think about the order that you will need to mix them in? Could you write some instructions to teach somebody else how to make this dream?
I have attached an example of an instruction text to remind you of the features and a power point to guide you through the steps. You might also find the word mat useful.
4. Art – I have included some pictures of characters that appear in Roald Dahl’s books. I would like you to use the picture of the BFG and draw yourself on the picture as though the BFG was looking down on you. Remember, you are much smaller than the BFG. I would then like you to draw a speech bubble and write a question for the BFG. Your question should begin with a capital letter and end with a question mark. Then colour in your characters.
